Custodial/Grounds Supervisor
Responsibilities
- Perform grounds maintenance duties per set schedules, requirements, and standards to include:
- Mow all improved grounds to look well-manicured
- Edge sidewalks, driveways, street edges, curbs, parking lots, and other hard surfaced areas located within the improved grounds
- Trim areas not accessible to mowers
- Remove debris to include general litter patrol and natural debris
- Police ground in order to maintain a neat and professional appearance
- Maintain desert landscape in a clean and neat manner
- Provide weed control
- Program irrigation systems.
- Perform custodial tasks per set schedule, requirements, and standards to include:
- Maintain floor regularly, perform advanced floor maintenance, assisting weekend floor crews as necessary
- Maintain restrooms
- Maintain a clean facility
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team utilizing systems to promote performance, establish clear expectations, promote staff growth and development, provide on employee success and develop cohesive teamwork.
- Monitor employee work hours to ensure accurate recording of hours worked.
- Communicate with Assistant Project Manager issues or concerns regarding custodial staff.
- Organize own work, coordinate projects, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow-up on assigned projects in a self-directed manner with a minimum amount of supervision and direction.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES. Other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education. High School or GED and three years’ experience in the custodial field of which one year must be in a supervisory capacity.
Licenses/Certifications. Valid driver’s license.
Other (e.g., post-offer drug screen, background check, driver’s license record, etc.). Employee’s must undergo a driver’s license record check; employees must pass a background check.

Rate of Pay: $17.00-$20.00/hour
Pay Range: OP-2
Hours:7:00am-6:00pm
Location: Hobbs, NM
