Custodial/Grounds Supervisor

Responsibilities

  1. Perform grounds maintenance duties per set schedules, requirements, and standards to include:
  1.  Mow all improved grounds to look well-manicured
  2. Edge sidewalks, driveways, street edges, curbs, parking lots, and other hard surfaced areas located within the improved grounds
  3. Trim areas not accessible to mowers
  4. Remove debris to include general litter patrol and natural debris
  5. Police ground in order to maintain a neat and professional appearance
  6. Maintain desert landscape in a clean and neat manner
  7. Provide weed control
  1.  Program irrigation systems.
  2. Perform custodial tasks per set schedule, requirements, and standards to include:
  1.  Maintain floor regularly, perform advanced floor maintenance, assisting weekend floor crews as necessary  
  2. Maintain restrooms
  3. Maintain a clean facility
  1. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team utilizing systems to promote performance, establish clear expectations, promote staff growth and development, provide on employee success and develop cohesive teamwork. 
  2. Monitor employee work hours to ensure accurate recording of hours worked. 
  3. Communicate with Assistant Project Manager issues or concerns regarding custodial staff.
  4. Organize own work, coordinate projects, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow-up on assigned projects in a self-directed manner with a minimum amount of supervision and direction.

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES. Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education. High School or GED and three years’ experience in the custodial field of which one year must be in a supervisory capacity.   

Licenses/Certifications. Valid driver’s license.

 

Other (e.g., post-offer drug screen, background check, driver’s license record, etc.). Employee’s must undergo a driver’s license record check; employees must pass a background check. 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:

  1. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  2. Ability to work independently and in a team setting. 
  3. Ability to manage multiple priorities. 

Rate of Pay: $17.00-$20.00/hour

Pay Range: OP-2

Hours:7:00am-6:00pm

Location: Hobbs, NM
